Hi! I’m Laurel, your travel planning expert and champion. I’m always going to be the person that says “Take the trip!” once I’ve heard about it.
I plan my own trips around great accommodations, food, and nature and/or architecture to see (depending on the location!). I like to experience places like the locals too, whether that is finding the best non-touristy restaurant or exploring an off-the-beaten-path neighborhood.
I plan solo wayfarer journeys, honeymoons and couples getaways, and small group travel. Within that, I have a wide range of destination interests and expertise, from Asia to Europe, cities to mountains or beaches, I truly love it all! I believe there is a right time for each of these trips and am passionate about helping others discover which type of getaway they are currently craving or needing, i.e. what is their North Star.
If you are trying to answer the question “What is my North Star?”, I’d love to help you answer that question through an intentional and meaningful trip.
When I’m not seeking out a new destination, you’ll find me home with my partner and corgi, probably reading, attending a yoga class, or trying a new restaurant.
I had a wonderful experience working with Laurel to plan an anniversary getaway to Punta Cana! She was extremely communicative from start to finish, attentive to our preferences, and was thoughtful in presenting options that fit our priorities for this trip (a relaxing all-inclusive beach vacation). She made the entire process so easy and stress-free. Laurel worked collaboratively with us, suggested great alternatives based on our feedback, and handled all the details, including booking our private airport transportation. Everything was perfectly coordinated, and we were able to truly relax and enjoy our trip.
We couldn’t have asked for a better travel advisor and would absolutely work with Laurel again. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a seamless and personalized travel planning experience!
Very attentive and detail oriented. A wide range of experience.
I love how much history the United Kingdom has and love all its old (and quaint) homes, pubs, landmarks. There are so many different places you can explore, and it’s all very doable via the country’s trains. And LONDON. One of my favorite cities in the world, easily. There are so many diverse neighborhoods, as well as foods and shops from different cultures. I’ve visited London, Edinburgh, Cambridge, Richmond, Windsor, Pitlochry, Walton-on-Thames, and Molesey and hope to explore more in the future, including the Cotswolds, the Highlands, Glencoe, Inverness, Isle of Skye, Oxford, Bath, Cornwall, York, and Cardiff.
This past summer I visited my 6th and final New England state (Connecticut) and have only great things to say about the area. You can plan an amazing road trip to see most if not all states: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. From beaches on Cape Cod, to hiking in Acadia National Park, to eating amazing seafood along the coast, to exploring the Gilded Age mansions of Newport, to soaking up the fall foliage in Vermont and New Hampshire, there is so much to do and see.
Singapore is another one of my favorite cities in the world. Similar to London, this is another city where so many different cultures have come together, and they all distinctly still exist and have blended together as well. It’s a place where interesting architecture meets tropical climate and gardens. Where you can go from downtown skyscrapers to Chinatown to Little India. Singapore is also a fantastic place to visit if you want to visit Asia for the first time but want somewhere that easily speaks English, is clean, and easy to navigate (great metro system). And all the food options are amazing!
I’ve lived within a mile of Lake Michigan for over 10 years, and there is just something about it that is magical. There are days you can pretend it’s an ocean with how big the waves get from the wind, and other days when it’s smooth as glass and you can just float with no concern of being pulled away by the current. I’m currently planning the Lake Michigan Circle Tour drive for this summer and am so excited to see more of this magnificent lake!
