About Me

Hi there! I’m Heidi, and I’ve been a travel advisor since 2012. Travel has always been more than just a job for me; it’s a way of life. I’ve spent over 14 years helping others experience the same wonder, freedom, and connection that travel has given me. And because I’ve personally been to many of the places I recommend, I don’t just book trips, I share first-hand knowledge, honest insight, and a genuine passion for making your experience unforgettable.

I started Astonishing Travel, my own boutique agency, with one simple mission: to make the complex feel easy and to give my clients the kind of service I’d want for myself. I know how much work goes into planning a perfect vacation, from flights and transfers to tours, insurance, dining, excursions, and more, and I love taking care of all the details so that you don’t have to.

Over the years, I’ve planned everything from luxury cruises and grand voyages to multigenerational family vacations, romantic honeymoons, river cruises, destination weddings, and guided tours across the globe. I work with a long list of highly respected travel partners including brands like Tauck, Viking, Silversea, Regent, Royal Caribbean, Virgin Voyages, Collette, Marriott, and many more. I keep close relationships with these partners so I can give my clients priority access, insider perks, and support at every step of their journey.

But beyond the certifications and supplier relationships, what I believe really makes a difference is care and the ability to listen. Every traveler is different, and I love taking the time to understand what your version of a dream trip looks like. Some people want to explore ancient ruins, some want to sip wine in Tuscany, and others just want to unplug somewhere peaceful with the people they love. Whatever it is, we build the journey around you.

We just got back from an awesome trip!! It was our first time traveling to Jamaica so I wasn’t sure of how to plan but thanks to Heidi she made everything SO easy. She gave me plenty of options when I was first starting to decide on where we were traveling. She did everything from selecting our seats on the plane to setting up airport transfers. I told her what I wanted with our room situations, which were exactly what we discussed. I also loved that she always got back to me within the day if I ever had any questions(which I did, lol!) I will be reaching out to her again very soon to help plan my next trip!

We would have been lost without Heidi and will never book anything without her help again. I never realize how helpful it is to have a travel agent there to help you both before and during your trip. Something might go wrong and you will want her helping you out like she did for us. We are so grateful.

I hadn’t used an agent before. But what really helped was Heidi could compare different options for us and give us her opinion on different cruise lines. If I called Silversea to book it they would only tell me about their option and wouldn’t mention Celebrity for example. I thought that was great to get her unbiased opinion on the different options out there. Thanks!

Heidi was a pleasure to work with. From the very first day 9 months prior to our vacation she was right on. We weren’t sure exactly where we wanted to go in the Caribbean but we knew we wanted somewhere special to celebrate our marriage of 30 years. We decided Sandals Grande Antigua, an all inclusive couples resort was the place for us!! Heidi was with us every step of the way! We received spa credit for a couples massage that was delightful. She suggested that we may want to “Retie the Knot” which I am so grateful we took the opportunity to do. It was a lovely ceremony, a memory we will cherish forever! We felt well informed about the resort from attire to restaurants, all inclusive water sports etc. If you are looking for a travel agent that cares about your needs Heidi is the one for you!! We will definitely book our next vacation with her.

Visiting the Galápagos Islands was like walking into a living biology textbook. Each island had distinct wildlife, terrain, and ecosystems – lava lizards, blue-footed boobies, penguins, and seals, all in one trip! I asked countless questions to our expert guides so I could better help my clients plan their perfect trip. From choosing between the inner or outer loop to deciding when to go based on wildlife, I loved learning everything I could to help others experience this magical destination.

Fabulous Danube River Cruise

August 9, 2025

Heidi booked us a trip on an AmaWaterways river cruise for the Christmas markets along the Danube to celebrate our 20th anniversary. I had heard of low water levels on the Danube. We received several e-mails from her informing us of the potential changes to the itinerary. These kept us informed of what was going on and helped us to make our final decision on whether to go or not. Leading up to our trip, she would reach out to us to see if we had any questions or concerns. She always wanted to make sure we knew what was happening and that there were no issues. We still went and had a fabulous time. Heidi arranged for us to eat dinner one night at the Chef’s table which offered unparalleled service and food. After we returned home we received a letter and small gift from her thanking us for booking with her and to keep her in mind when we traveled again. We will and plan to book future trips with her.
