I’m Carrie Blackwell, founder of Carrie On Adventuring, a boutique travel agency focused on epic vacations for busy couples and groups. As a registered nurse, I know how busy life can get. That’s why I do the vacation planning—so you can actually enjoy that time away, not just plan it.
After planning my own elopement and 9 month US road trip, as well as trips to Mexico 🇲🇽, Costa Rica 🇨🇷, Belize 🇧🇿, Alaska, and other US destinations. I realized my passion for travel was undeniable.
Carrie On Adventuring was founded to share the immense joy of travel—the feeling you get when you stand in a new place, witnessing the sheer size and beauty of the world. It’s about more than just making memories; it’s about recognizing our place and the impact we have. This is the heart of my motto: big world, tiny us. We travel to see the big world, tiny us, and come home changed.
I specialize in CUSTOMIZED vacations to 🦥Costa Rica, 🪸 Belize, 🌌 Alaska, 🏝 Hawaii, 🌋 Iceland, 🌈🍷 Portugal, and 💕 romance travel to the 🏖 Caribbean.
📆 We will schedule a time to get to know each other and allow me to get a clear understanding of your vacation and how I can serve you best.
📧 After your consultation, you will receive a VERY DETAILED email outlining everything that was discussed. This will allow you to decide if you would like to HIRE ME as your travel advisor.
💳 IF you choose to hire me, I charge a non-refundable planning and concierge fee that is collected before I can get to work on your amazing vacation. If you’re ready to hire me, I’ll simply send you a link to pay the planning fee as well as my terms and conditions and a beautiful Welcome Handbook welcoming you to the Carrie On Adventuring family!
💡 I will then research and make a FIRST AND BEST proposal for you (that can be changed, if needed, to suit your preferences).
💰 After you review your proposal and approve, a deposit will be collected, made on your behalf, and I will work on some of the finer details of your vacation (tours, excursions, dining, etc)
📄 I will stay in contact with you via email with reminders for payments, packing ideas, blogs, etc. I will e-mail final documents before you travel and you get access to them via Google drive.
📨 You will get a final itinerary using Trello (free user-friendly app or online service) with details of your vacation and everything you may need, including: apps to download, things to know before you go, airport information, tips, & hacks, your travel documents, emergency phone numbers, and your location(s) information to ensure you have the smoothest travel experience as possible.
📬 You’ll get a welcome home e-mail and letter once you arrive home.
My luxury concierge services mean I am your travel concierge from the time you decide to hire me, and the planning fee is paid until after you arrive home! 🥰
